Jetts Group takes leading position as highest-ranking health and fitness franchise in BRW Fast Franchises 2013

  • Following 200th club opening, NSW is the next key growth target area
  • Group aims for 350 successful clubs in Australasia by end of 2015

Friday 1st March 2013: Australia's leading 24/7 health and fitness group, Jetts, is the #1 ranking fitness group in the 2013 BRW Fast Franchise list, ranking at #2 overall and taking lead position as the fastest growing franchise in Australia in the fitness industry.

Adrian McFedries, Jetts Group Managing Director attributes the franchise model's growth and success to a consistent and steady approach:


"To be recognised by BRW yet again for our solid business practices and exceptional growth is a fantastic honour. Having pioneered the 24/7, no contracts, gym concept in Australia six years ago, it is testament to our team commitment and relentless consistency that we now have 200 clubs - a milestone we celebrated earlier this month. With their sights on expansion in NSW in 2013, Jetts will target a further 50 clubs to add to its Australasian network this year alone and 350 successful clubs in Australasia by the end of 2015.

"Growth is strong in both outlet numbers and per club membership. We have a focused strategy to go after suitable, a-grade real estate for new clubs in NSW in particular. An average Jetts gym has a start-up cost of between $500,000 to $600,000 and a time investment of 5-10 hours per week for franchisees. Ours is an accredited franchise system through Westpac so we have an avenue to assist our network with a strong financing solution," he continued.

The group is targeting a 53 per cent increase in turnover this year having reported revenue of $74 million for 2011-2012 and average annual revenue growth of 219 per cent over the past three years.
