Finding the right workout for you

The secret to working out is to make it fun! It can be difficult to make a habit stick and it's even harder to commit to something you don’t enjoy. The trick is choosing something that fits with your fitness goals and personality. When you have a workout routine that's fun, committing is easy.

If you're at a Jetts 24/7 gym or looking to join a club near you, here's a few workouts and the personalities they match:

Cardio training is one of the most popular workouts in the gym and it's not unusual to see many of the treadmills full during peak periods. If you like to get your blood pumping and enjoy feeling your body move and work, you might like running. Running at gym is also a great way to train for events, giving you something to aim towards.

For those who like to be pushed to the limits and feel strong, weight training may be the way to go. Weight training can serve many different purposes, such as strength training, muscle hypertrophy, muscle injury rehabilitation and many more! Of course, we reccommend that you chat to a Jetts team member to determine what type of weights program would work best for you.

Stretching and yoga

Perhaps you're not a fan of intense workouts or using machines. Or maybe are looking for something that offers more than the average gym session. If this sounds like you, stretching and yoga might be ideal. Grab a yoga mat and a fit-ball and enjoy a more relaxed workout by stretching the muscles and encouraging healthy blood flow. This is also a good way to increase your flexibility.

Working out with a friend

Sometimes the best motivation is having a friend to push you. Making working out a social event is a great option for those who find it difficult to motivate themselves and get to the gym regularly. A friend can help you do certain exercises, spot you on the weights or just give you someone to chat with while pounding the treadmill, making it more fun and easier to commit to. Why not take a few friends and make it a group activity?

Getting a personal trainer

Similar to working out with a friend, a personal trainer is great for those who need a little extra push. They can also teach you how to use the gym in a way that is safe and more enjoyable. Sometimes the best way to workout hard and often is to have someone there to guide and push you to the limit. Chat to a Jetts team member about personal training today!.
