The new year motivates people to take action in a variety of ways, including their health. Whether it’s to lose weight, bulk up, improve health or just to try something new, the new year sees a lot of new faces at the gym!

For some, the best way to get better is to get fit. For example, those with diabetes or poor cholesterol are often advised to exercise more and change their diet. Just committing to a few sessions a week can do wonders for a whole host of ailments.


4. Friendly rivalry

Sometimes some sociable competition with friends is all you need to get involved. Many people join up with friends to stay motivated and sometimes it’s a friend that motivates you to sign up in the first place!


5. Feel better about yourself

Let’s be honest, one of the biggest reasons anyone joins a gym is for the confidence boost! Although it may not be the only reason, going to the gym is a great way to make you feel good, both emotionally and physically.
